IE MAG/NA/LARM – Model 7930

Overview

The IE Model 7930 MAG/NA/LARM II is a magnetically actuated alarm switch designed for use on the IE 1100 Series Full-View* Flowmeter. The alarm can be used on any Full- View, sizes 8 through 13 with ribbed tube and scale lengths of 127 mm, 250 mm and 600 mm. The MAG/NA/LARM II consists of a dry reed switch, a SPDT relay, and a special metering float containing a magnet.

The reed switch is mounted on an adjustable bracket located on the inner side of the flowmeters’ side plate, and adjacent to the metering tube. The magnet imbedded in the float activates the reed switch as the float passes by the reed switch. The reed switch triggers the SPDT relay which is mounted inside a small metal enclosure on the outer side of the flowmeters’ side plate. The relay, in turn, operates the user’s alarm device.
